The Criminal Justice (Scotland) Act 2016 (Support for Vulnerable Persons) Regulations 2019 commenced 10 January 2020. Local Authorities now have a duty to deliver Appropriate Adult services and provide training for practitioners. The Care Inspectorate also have a duty to assess the quality of the services.
